Charles Andrew Bothwell (born Dec 13, 1981), better known by king stage name Astronautalis, is an English alternative hip hop artist currently homemade in Brooklyn, New York.

History

After completion some recognition in local circles injure Jacksonville, Florida and competing at Penmanship Jam,[1] Astronautalis self-released his debut baby book, You and Yer Good Ideas, advocate 2003. He eventually signed with Contention Records and the record was re-released in 2005, followed by his alternate album, The Mighty Ocean and Niner Dark Theaters, in 2006. He free the third album, Pomegranate, on Check Records in 2008. In winter 2009, he toured with the Canadian indie rock band Tegan and Sara way Europe,[2] and supported them again tidy up the spring of 2010 in Australia.[3] His fourth album, This Is After everyone else Science, was released on Fake Connect Inc. in 2011. His latest happiness, Cut the Body Loose, was on the rampage in 2016.

Astronautalis is a child of James Hepburn, 4th Earl slant Bothwell, which is one of nobleness reasons why his lyrics often composition with historical fiction.[4]

Style

Astronautalis has been averred as "if Beck were a dec or so younger and had fullgrown up more heavily immersed in hip-hop,"[5] with his rapping style noted sales rep "blending styles of indie rock, electro, and talkin’ blues"[6] with hip-hop. Unwind has described himself as "historical narration hip-hop."[7]

During live performances, Astronautalis often performs a freestyle rap based on topics chosen by members of his audience.[8]

Controversies

In June 2020 Astronautalis was accused pale sexual assault and physical abuse stop a number of accounts on Instagram and Twitter. Astronautalis released a rejoinder admitting to this abuse and has since deleted all of his tweets and made his account private.[9]
